Emilee Dreifus, Research volunteer/Summer Intern

Emilee Dreifus is a sophomore at the University of Miami majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology and minoring in public health. Emilee is planning on attending medical school post-graduation. In her free time, she enjoys being involved in on campus organizations, volunteering, and going to the beach with friends. Emilee is working with Dr. Lisse on osteogenesis imperfecta research.

Sara Hansen

Originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, Sara Hansen is an undergraduate student at the University of Miami majoring in Biology. In her free time, she rows for the D1 women’s team on campus, volunteers at the Holtz Children’s Hospital, and enjoys spending time outside. She hopes to continue her studies in the hopes becoming a surgeon one day.

Antonio Corral B.S., Research Associate 

Antonio Corral was born in Caracas, Venezuela. His family moved to Florida when he was fifteen years old. Antonio graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a double major in Biology and Behavioral Neuroscience and a minor in Mathematics. He is planning to attend medical school in the future with the hopes of becoming a surgical oncologist or neurologist. In his free time Antonio enjoys playing the guitar, skateboarding, and reading. During his time at NSU he produced an ATG5-GFP over-expression cell line in A549 cells under the guidance of Dr. Vladimir Beljansky. Antonio also attended the summer undergraduate research program at MD Anderson where he produced a OTUD7B knockout cell line in U2OS cells via CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing under the guidance of Dr. Bin Wang. Currently, Antonio is working as a Research Associate in Dr. Thomas Lisse's laboratory."
