The Molecular Core Laboratory located at University of Miami's Coral Gables campus is a multiuser DNA analysis facility servicing UM researchers and researchers at nearby institutions. The Molecular Core offers access to molecular genetic technology, equipment, bench space, and technical assistance at reasonable rates. The laboratory is fully equipped with recently purchased Eppendorf Mastercyclers, an Eppendorf Realtime PCR system, a Lycor Odyssey imaging system, a_Bio-Rad gel imaging system, and full capacity centrifuges. Services provided include DNA sequencing and fragment analysis with 24 to 48 hour turnaround time.
